Carolina Fur Dressing has set the bar on wet tans, with no competitor coming close to the stretch, workability, feel, and cleanliness of our wet tan product.
A Carolina Fur Dressing wet tan will help you save time on the actual mounting process, and allow you to spend less time and labor in repairs and finishing work. Your skins will easily stretch out to their original size or even larger. It's a fact that our wet tanned skins will save you labor, which in our business translates into money saved.
Our wet tans are frozen and stored at -10°F, then shipped on Mondays with most boxes going via UPS ground. These skins are completely tanned, oiled, and ready to mount or be frozen when they arrive at your shop. They have no oily residue on the leather or hair side, plus they have a pleasant odor. Also, since the skins are not tumbled in sawdust for hours, there is much less damage to ears and lips.
We highly suggest that any life-size mount having an unprimed skin and hair (especially early fall bears), be wet tanned to help save the hair and/or epidermis.
Fleshing prices at $30 per deer cape.
See the price list for pricing on all other skins.
